Insurance & Bond Coordinator / Human Resources Admin

Established general construction firm seeking to hire an Insurance & Bond Coordinator to join our team. Ideal candidate will have a commercial lines background in the bonding and property & casualty industry. Position entails 95% insurance and 5% HR responsibilities.

Bond & Insurance Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and prepare documents for bond company renewals
  • Obtain all required bonds for every project as needed
  • Implement processes for bond release with project managers and owners
  • Manage all corporate insurance matters including claims review and renewal process
  • Obtain insurance quotes for builders risk and varying liability coverages as needed for projects
  • Review all incoming owner and subcontracts for nature and scope of mark-ups and changes
  • Coordinate and maintain valid certificates of insurance for all subcontractors on every project
  • Oversee all jobsite insurance incidents by coordinating with subcontractors and/or navigation of claims process
  • Research and respond to inquiries/requests for documents on all litigated claims
  • Screen new subcontractors for insurance compliance
  • Maintain active general contractor licenses both in and out of state

 

Human Resources Admin Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and present health benefit packages and process enrollments for new enrollees
  • Anthem administrator for all medical, vision, life, dental, and COBRA enrollees
  • Coordinate hiring and termination processes
  • Post open company positions online and/or with recruiting firm
  • Screen all resumes of potential candidates
  • Schedule and facilitate employee reviews
  • Other duties as may be assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 plus years of experience in bonds/Property & Casualty Insurance
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent industry experience
  • Full Knowledge of insurance products and usages
  • Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills necessary
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
